How do I view Geovision video files on another pc?

I get asked that question a lot. I get calls from all over the country from police stations and such that have a need to view video files from a Geovision server for investigative purposes. Most of the time, just installing the Geovision codec for Windows Media Player won't work since the playback rate of Media Player is much higher than the Geovision software. The best way to export video from a Geovision server and be able to play it from another pc is to use the backup software that is built into the Geovision server. It is a great utility that exports a player with it so averything you need is on whatever you choose to backup to whether it be a CD, DVD, or external hard drive. For a great video on how to use the backup utility, check out this link. http://www.camerasecuritynow.com/pr/geovision-backup-utility.asp
